About My Process:

Art didn’t enter my life the “traditional” way.
I have been painting since 2020, and am completely self-taught.

I wasn’t the boy who grew up filling sketchbooks or heading to weekend art classes and retreats. I found painting as an adult to help me survive crippling burnout, and the death of several close friends. What began as a small creative outlet quickly turned into a daily practice that reshaped how I move through the world. How I see my own spirit.

Watercolor and mixed media became the first tools that made sense to me. They felt immediate, honest and real. Over time, those quiet sessions at the table grew into plein air sessions outside, teaching others, and selling almost all the pieces I created.

My work can only be formed from the unique intersections of who I am, and who I am becoming.
I am a neurodivergent artist who processes the world extra intensely, an engineer, a parent learning to balance creativity with real life dealing with two wild young boys, and someone who believes art is one of the most human ways we can connect. I am also growing.

Every piece I create carries some part of that story: a moment of clarity, a shift in perspective, or a feeling that didn’t have any human language to describe what makes it important. This website is where I share those pieces: the finished works, the studies, the experiments, and my artistic growth.
If my art resonates with you, it’s because the process behind it is real. There's no AI Bullshit here.

I paint to understand the world, and I share it in case it helps someone else feel understood too.

Owning A Piece of My Collection:

I am honored that you sought my art and want to look at it as much as I do! Happily, owning a piece of my original art comes along with powerful magic, and creative energy. I pour my heart and soul, and hours of emotional turmoil into each piece. Reflecting while I paint enhances the quality of the emotions emanating from my pieces.

Hoping you enjoy the piece, and of course, if there are any issues here is my return policy:

Return Policy:
All original paintings are one-of-a-kind and sales are final.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please email me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the piece, packaging, and shipping label so a claim can be filed and a resolution arranged. I am happy to refund any damage, and work with you to potentially repair the painting if at all possible.

Prints may be returned within 7 days of delivery if they are unused and in original condition; return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility and original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Commissioned pieces require a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin, with the remaining balance due before delivery; because commissions are custom work, all sales are final. Chris Potts is not responsible for shipping delays or packages marked delivered by the carrier.
